All your work handled by qualified professionals in Rochester

Wood Rot & Dry Rot Repair

Lake-effect snow, ice dams and humid summers: Rochester wood rots from the roof edge down.

Included in your service

  • Porch sills and lower clapboard checked where snow piles against them all winter
  • Soft sections cut back past the stain line until the blade meets sound wood
  • Replacement boards back-primed before they go up, so meltwater has no bare face to soak
  • Ice dam, downspout or splash-back that started the decay shown to you on site
Learn more→

Termite Damage Repair

Carpenter ants in damp framing, termites in some older homes: we rebuild what they hollowed out.

Included in your service

  • Wet framing under ice-dammed eaves and old porch roofs opened and traced
  • Hollowed studs, sills and subfloor swapped for sound kiln-dried lumber
  • The leak or condensation that drew the ants in found and dried out first
  • Bait or spray stays with your exterminator; the carpentry stays with us
Learn more→

  • Flush or dropped LVL beam chosen for the opening and the ceiling you want
  • Posts carried down to solid bearing on the basement slab or footing
  • We tell you up front when the span needs an engineer and a town permit
Learn more→

Framing & Structural Carpentry

Attic conversions, basement finishes and storm-damaged walls framed square and true.

Included in your service

  • Layout planned around the cabinets, trim and fixtures that come after framing
  • Basement walls framed off the foundation on treated bottom plates
  • Rafters and walls hit by fallen limbs or snow load cut back and rebuilt
  • Old balloon framing opened carefully and fire-blocked where it needs it

Entry doors sealed against lake-effect snow, below-zero wind and wet springs.

Included in your service

Included in your service

  • Gutters pulled to expose the fascia that ice dams soak first
  • Rotted fascia, soffit and rake trim replaced with primed, weather-resistant boards
  • Soffit vents kept open so the attic stays cold and dry in winter
